About
Cyber Range

Building on this technology and research competence, in its role to support Austrian society, critical infractructure providers and enterprises, AIT has been engaged to provide cyber security training and exercises – in this capacity, the AIT Cyber Range was born. The first major engagement of the AIT Cyber Range was the KSÖ Planspiel, held in 2017. This national technical cyber security exercise engaged over 100 participants, including critical infrastructure operators and national stakeholders. Since then, the AIT Cyber Range has matured into a world-class facility and team, supporting organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – who appointed AIT as its worldwide first IAEA Collaborating Centre in the field of cyber security for nuclear safety in IAEA´s member states – with their training events and exercises, and conducting training and exercises for clients within Austria and beyond.
